GET Bus - Transit Center and Custom Bus Shelter Design

The project was a collaboration between Golden Empire Transit (GET) and Cal State University Bakersfield (CSUB). The existing bus stops on the college campus were no longer serving the needs of the students, so GET was looking to provide a more modern 6-bay bus transit center. The project was all about coordination and making sure the needs of the users, the standards from the university, the transit agency, and the State of California, were met with a thoughtful, environmentally conscious design. The shelter itself was custom design with simple yet striking use of signage, seating and color. The shelters were built by LNI Custom Manufacturing.
